Register for a Shopfront

Whether you have acres of apricots in Roberston or just a lone lemon tree in Newlands, our food community is a special group of passionate producers & retailers. If you fit in with our Producers Charter, we?d love to have you and your products listed here! To save any nasty surprises, please read the Producers Charter before you apply.

Member Benefits

Registering with Food Shed gives you a webshop that doesn't require a web programmer (charging an hourly rate), everytime you want to add an item or change a price.

  • Your Food Shed shopfront is your personal space. Your listing allows people to contact you directly via email.
  • You will receive a username and password to access the user-friendly administration area of your site. Here, you have total control. You can add products, change prices at the click of a mouse and show items as out of stock.
  • You'll be placed on the Food Shed map, so people can search for producers closest to them.
  • Your shopfront will be listed when buyers are searching for specific food items, even if an item as given as out of stock. This allows them to check back at a later date or contact you further.
  • Our website is search engine optimised, so people searching for you, go direct to your personal shopfront.

Pricing schedule

Standard Membership: R350 per annum. This is our standard package, giving you your personal shopfront and allowing you to list up to a maximum of 15 items.
Premium Membership: R500 per annum. Unlimited items can be listed. Promotion of your specials or seasonal items via the Homepage News and social media channels.

Do I have to sign a contract?
There aren't any contracts with Food Shed, we'll just invoice you on annual basis and you can cancel when you want to.

How can I de-register?
You can cancel anytime by contacting us at help@foodshed.co.za

How do I pay?
We will send an invoice up front, via email which you can pay via EFT or regular bank deposit.

How do I sign up?
Apply for a shopfront by clicking on the tab below and filling in your details. Your login details will be sent instantly, but we do review all our applications!
