This is the privacy policy for the Food Shed website located at www.foodshed.co.za. It is effective from January 2011.

Food Shed will not sell your name or email address to third parties.
We collect personal information when you register to use Food Shed services or post content on the site. At registration you are asked for your email address and certain other information. This is required to use the site effectively.

IP addresses are automatically reported by your browser each time you view a web page. We may use the information for service improvement, research, and anonymous reporting.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

As part of the buying and selling process, you may obtain another user's email address, shipping address and/or other information. In accordance with our Terms of Use, you have a limited license to use this information. This information should only be used for Food Shed related communications or facilitated transactions. You are not licensed to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages unless the user requests it.

You can change your Account Information (except your username), at any time.

We may send you certain communications relating to Food Shed service, such as service announcements and administrative messages that are considered part of your account. You can delete your account by emailing: help@foodshed.co.za

You need to work to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by signing off once you have finished using a shared computer and not sharing your login details.
